The Model Maker will work within the Engineering Lab team that is part of the Unitary Products Group (UPG) for Bosch Home Comfort Group. In this division we design, test, manufacture, and assemble heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment for the light commercial and residential markets. Bosch Home Comfort has two plants for UPG with approximately 1000 employees each; one in Norman, OK and the other in Wichita, KS. This position will be located in the Norman, OK Engineering Lab and will report to the Model Shop Supervisor.As a Model Maker working in the Engineering Lab, you will work in a climate-controlled HVAC laboratory environment performing build assignments pertinent to operational improvements and product testing for the UPG product line.How you will do it:Fabricate sheet metal and copper parts based on engineering specifications.Operate and maintain fabrication equipment, including Press Brake, Amada, etc.Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematicsConduct quality control checks to ensure all parts meet specifications and standards.Perform repairs and modifications to existing components as needed.Follow established safety procedures, conduct audits, and maintain a clean work area.
