Local handrail fabrication company York Metal Fabricators is looking for a draftsman with experience in AutoCAD, shop drawings, and architectural drawings. Needs to have a solid base in geometry and working with fractions and be able to travel to construction sites around the region, including overnight stays. Must be able to interact with customers and be capable of project management duties working with contractors and architects. Duties will include email correspondence with customers, phone coordination with customers, working with engineering firms on structural calculations, applying architectural design choices into workable structurally compliant railing solutions, and general office duties. Strong computer skills a must. We offer training in industry specific applications. Some work in evaluating architectural drawings and locating selected products also involved. Degree not required, but this is definitely not an entry level position. 401K, Health Insurance, Paid Vacation.
