Role summary
The Relationship Manager is the day-to-day liaison working with HCL delivery team and customer business units in the regions. Works with business counterparts to understand and translate key requirements, prioritize projects, manage expectations, contain costs, and generally ensure that regional and market business needs are being met. This role must maintain extensive business knowledge with comprehensive understanding of the organization and functional areas supported by this role.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Manages relationships between HCL and customer. Facilitates & maintains relationships for long-term contracts to ensure the needs of customers are met.
Provides forecasts of business activity and related usage that require resources from the vendor.
Works with internal delivery teams and customer to ensure local projects are properly scoped, have accurate statements of work, are priced and billed according. Monitors projects to ensure they are properly executed.
Reviews and approves special requests that fall outside of the standard service catalog
Reviews and provides feedback on detailed project schedules, resource plans and status reports. Ensures that key project milestones are met; adjusts project plans, resourcing, and funding as needed to meet customer needs.
Provides feedback and direction on issues affecting services provided to customer.
Initial point of escalation for individual service delivery issues and works with delivery team and customer to address them.
Manages the communication of process improvements to HCL and customer.
Participate in the development of systems, procedures and processes to ensure overall quality of services provided to customer.

Minimum
7 or more years of experience required in related field (i.e. customer relationship, Project Management, P&L, outsourcing, offshoring)
Strong contract management skills
Strong financial acumen
Highly organized, detail oriented, with superior follow-up skills
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with buiness and delivery teams throughout organization

Preferred

BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Business, etc.)
MBA preferred.
2 or more years of experience in a management role preferred
Experience in telecommunications industry desired
