SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Responsible for assuming, as much as possible, the role of a regular staff member within their assigned department. The intern may work in an administrative environment, on job sites, in the shop/warehouse, or parts center. Job specific tasks will be identified post-assignment. PRIMARY ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED; registration or enrollment in a technical trade school, or other field of study related to the HVAC industry such as technician apprenticeship, building automation, or engineering (electrical, mechanical or industrial).

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

State driver’s license, auto insurance, auto registration, and acceptable driving record.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

None indicated.

SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIRED:

X Basic Intermediate Advanced

Specific Programs and/or skills:

Specialty software training provided upon hire.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization; as well as, external vendors, business contacts, existing or potential customers as directed.

This position may be performed in an administrative environment, on job sites, in the shop/warehouse, or parts center. While performing the duties of this job, the Operations employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme heat; and risk of electrical shock. Noise levels may range from mild to moderate, with occasional loud levels. However, the duration of exposure to loud environments will not be significant and personal protective equipment will be provided.
