Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Legal Secretary in the Professional Services industry, based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This role will involve tasks such as filing, managing formal documentation, and dealing with various legal procedures. This entry-level position provides an opportunity to gain experience in the field, with training provided to enhance your skills.Responsibilities: Perform basic filing tasks to ensure the smooth running of legal operations. Utilize knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites, including Excel and Outlook, for various administrative tasks. Handle and process legal documentation with accuracy and attention to detail. Utilize LexisNexis and other management systems to conduct legal research or process information. Manage calendar schedules for legal personnel, ensuring all appointments and deadlines are met. Provide briefing services to legal personnel for case preparation. Handle dictation tasks, transcribing legal correspondence and documents as needed. Manage billing functions related to legal services provided. Assist in customer service duties, handling inquiries and providing information as needed. Maintain and update accurate customer credit records.Please note that this description is not exhaustive and other duties may be assigned as necessary. Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook Experience with LexisNexis legal research software Familiarity with a management system, preferably in a legal setting Proven ability to handle billing functions and financial documentation Prior experience with legal briefing and dictation Excellent calendar management skills, with the ability to manage multiple schedules Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced professional services environment Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in documentation Demonstrable ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
