This pivotal role will focus on creating a premier social media presence, amplifying global brand awareness, and establishing thought leadership within the K-12 and higher education sectors. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams, clients, and key influencers to elevate our brand and guide public relations initiatives to enhance and safeguard our reputation. Establish and drive multi-channel communications strategies.

Expand and elevate our global social media presence

Establish and implement proactive PR strategies build brand awareness and drive demand.

Monitor and respond to PR concerns in coordination with the Education VP of Sales and the FranklinCovey Director of Public Relations.

Coordinate with the product launch and product marketing teams around messaging & positioning for new and existing product lines as well as targeted campaigns and initiatives.

Engage with our community members and stakeholders to identify and amplify stories of impact across multimedia channels.

Manage the education marketing team’s corporate and internal communication strategy around initiatives, launches, campaigns, etc.

Maintain brand voice and brand integrity across all platforms and modes of communication.

Work with FranklinCovey’s Director of PR to manage media relations and develop contacts with clients, and community leaders.

Recommend and screen thought leaders to participate or partner with us for events, podcasts, and publications.

Assist in the creation of digital, video, audio and print content.

Identify and report on key metrics and KPIs that demonstrate the impact and ROI of our communication channels.

Partner with the VP of Marketing and Director of Marketing to effectively allocate and manage the budget needed to drive the expected outcomes of our communication strategies.

Assume tasks within Wordpress, Marketo and Salesforce.

Ability to travel as needed – average of 4-8 times per year.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s or advanced degree in communications, marketing or a directly related field.

7+ years of communications, marketing, public relations or directly related experience.

Experience managing digital content.

Preferred Skills/Experience

Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with communications technologies.

Demonstrated experience with social media listening and reputational management.

Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.

Working knowledge of content management systems and digital graphics production.

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro.

Familiarity with social media platforms and social media marketing.

Experience in the K-12 education sector.

Demonstrated experience with employee advocacy programs.

Impeccable copywriting and copy editing abilities.

Demonstrated experience with earned media & media relations.

Willing to assist in a variety of projects and roles to ensure overall success of the marketing team.

Attention to detail and the ability to build and follow systems and processes.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Established media relations.

For location-specific compensation:California - Anticipated compensation for this position is $115-125k. Responsibilities This position is located in an Air National Guard (ANG) Wing Inspector General (IG) Office. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the focal point for interpreting, developing, and implementing Air Force inspection policy and wing-level long-range strategic plans. Provides direction and oversight of internal and external inspections, audits, evaluations, reviews, exercises, and analyses to determine unit effectiveness and efficiency. Ensures operational, contingency, and mobilization plans adhere to policy and direct the effective use of wing resources. Plans, organizes, resources, and directs the execution of a wide range of complex inspection activities for the wing Commander\'s Inspection Program (CCIP). Activities include planning and directing inspections that incorporate Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Air Force (DAF), gaining major command(s) (G-MAJCOMs), National Guard Bureau (NGB), state, wing, local instructions, and laws for regulatory guidance. Oversees compliance, plans, and conducts By-Law, Special Emphasis Items (SEI), Special Interest Items (SII), Command Interest Items (CII) and nuclear assurance inspections as outlined by requirements from the DoD, DAF, NGB, and G-MAJCOM. Routinely required to interpret and incorporate complex laws, and guidance from all levels for the creation of inspection plans throughout the wing. Develops and communicates a continuously evaluated Risk Based Sampling Strategy (RBSS).
