We are hiring for a Payroll Specialist. This position is responsible for payroll administration including preforming all aspects of the payroll process to ensure payment is processed on time, accurately and in compliance with government regulations for both salaried and hourly employees. This position will comply with all federal, state and local regulations as it pertains to timekeeping, tax jurisdiction and garnishments or levies.Collaboration Opportunities:

Process accurate payroll

Respond to employee questions through email

Provide training on Workday navigation

Demonstrate an understanding of payroll processes

Process special payments as needed

Look for streamlining opportunities

Maintain payroll process documentation

Respond to requests for payroll information

Work with other teams as needed

Be able to apply critical thinking and problem solving

Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

Performs work that is varied and somewhat difficult under general supervision

Responsibility is limited with all work reviewed by a senior member of the team

Qualifications – Required and Preferred:

Minimum of 1 to 3 years working in payroll (Required)

Basic understanding of payroll processes and procedures (Required)

Ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills with minimum assistance (Required)

Knowledge of payroll, garnishment and payroll tax requirements (Required)

Ability to calculate gross to net pay results (Required)

Attention to detail (Required)

Verbal and written communication skills (Required)

Ability to work with other teams (Required)

Technical Requirements:We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router.
