Find your future with us.Boeing Defense Space & Security is seeking an experienced Project Management Specialist (level 4) to join the Boeing International Government Head of State (IGHOS) team in Oklahoma City, OK .The International Government Head of State team consists of commercial derivative aircraft supporting customers all over the world. The Project Management Specialist will drive daily execution, coordination, and communications with all required functions through early program bidding through final delivery and ongoing support to the customer.Position Responsibilities:
Leads, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for complex projects, programs, and change-driven activities in accordance with the project management industry.
Leads studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), reports, risk assessments, and planning efforts to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, and program initiatives.
Identifies risk and opportunity potential develops mitigation planning, and refines the business case. Develops and establishes lead time requirements.
Facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plan, schedules, change, and baseline management, processes, and techniques considered to be best practices across the industry.
Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
Coordinates commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies.
Experience developing and executing projects for complex integration of systems on military commercial derivative aircraft and a fundamental understanding of the products being integrated and/or modified.
The IPT leader will lead a multi-functional team with assigned responsibility for a specific program product or subsystem and is accountable to the PM for cross-functional integration and execution of the assigned work statement. An IPT is comprised of members from various functional disciplines necessary to accomplish the SOW. The IPT leader is assigned authority and allocated budget to perform activities derived from the program’s SOW as defined in the IPT team charter and/or program execution plan.
An IPT leader's responsibilities extend across the entire life cycle of the product including concept, design, procurement, production, test, delivery, and post-delivery support. Product responsibility includes management and adherence to program cost, schedule, and product technical requirements to meet contractual customer needs and business obligations.
Support subcontract activity associated with the product including design-make-buy decisions and integrating the program with supplier efforts.
Develop and maintain detailed schedules and networks for the product that integrate with higher-tier program schedules and be responsible for work package execution including planning, leading, monitoring, and managing work packages associated with the product.
Apply cross-functional decisions and monitor and manage progress to plan associated with the product work statement including adherence to program cost, schedule, and technical requirements across divisions, business functions, and capabilities.
Provide configuration control and change accountability for product baselines aligned with overall program change management plans;
Support internal and external program reviews aligned with overall program management expectations and be responsible for the day-to-day operating rhythm of the IPT.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
10+ years of experience in program or project management
Aircraft and defense industry experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active Secret Security Clearance
Experience with budget, development of quarterly EAC, program health metrics, earned value, and management of program critical path
Experience working with Supply Chain Management
Experience working with International customers
Experience in development programs
Experience in managing US Government Projects
