Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is offering an exciting opportunity for a leadership-minded Site Quality Engineer (Mid-Level) to join the Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) Quality Operations Team in Oklahoma City, OK. Specifically, the position will be based in Venice, Italy.This international assignment to Italy will be approximately 6-months to 1-year long. Following this assignment, there is potential for a follow-on long-term international assignment to Germany based on program needs. The candidate may be trained in Oklahoma City and/or Seattle for 1-month and then deployed to the field as a Quality Engineer.Position Responsibilities:

Primary role is supporting development activities and ensuring integration of engineering design and Boeing Quality Management System requirements related to NATO AWACS aircraft modifications are complied with.

Provides interpretation of complex requirements and assists design engineers with technical reviews including configuration change proposals, preliminary / critical design reviews, and Qualification testing.

Collects and verifies data, using tools such as GOLDesp, IQDS, Tableau, to support risk analysis, driving down waste, increasing productivity, and visibility of all areas of quality.

Provides data for management review including performance-to-plan metrics.

Supports process improvements utilizing frameworks such as Early Quality Involvement (EQI), Lean, and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).

Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.

Provides material review dispositions for nonconformances.

Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.

Works under minimal direction and is able to make tactical decisions.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location(s).This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required):

Bachelors of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or other technical degree

3+ years of experience supporting manufacturing and/or engineering business partners

3+ years of experience developing/managing metrics and RCCA

Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications

Experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Word

Experience developing & delivering presentations to management

Experience performing data analysis

Experience working or inspecting non-conformance work orders

Experience with GOLDesp and/or Worksheet Write Ups (WSWs)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired):

American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification

International business travel experience

Candidate would preferably be fluent in Italian (reading, speaking and writing)

Experience with contract review or contract management

Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and Control Account Management (CAM) supporting Boeing DoD contracts

Experience analyzing data and generating metrics reports

Experience utilizing the Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM)

Experience in Material Deficiency Reporting and investigations

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
