ASRC needs individuals who are working towards completion of their education requirements in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Computer Science. ASRC Federal System Solutions supports the Federal Aviation Administration National Airspace System Engineering Support Services (FAA NAS ESS) contract. Join our growing team as a Student Trainee Level 3 in support of the FAA’s FAA Surveillance and Broadcast Services System (SBSS) through supporting the FAA’s AJW-1432 team. The SBSS enables Automatic Dependent Surveillance (ADS-B). The activation of ADS-B surveillance is a cornerstone in enabling the FAA’s initiative to modernize the National Airspace System (NAS).Responsibilities:

Works beside experienced engineers and takes on various technical projects related to the sustainment and development of the NAS.

Performs a mixture of routine and complex tasks.

Often acts as an individual contributor in day-to-day operations in support of the organization.

Applies detailed knowledge and limited experience in performing tasks.

Has a general understanding of the work activities and objectives of the organizational unit.

Frequently coordinates with more experienced employees to plan time, prioritize assignments, and use assigned resources to accomplish tasks.

Frequently solves, assists, or refers problems to more experienced employees for guidance.

Work is reviewed frequently during assignments and at completion to ensure timeliness and all aspects of quality.

Work activities typically support the work of other employees and contribute to the activities of the organizational unit.

Requirements :US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. All applicants must have resided in the United States for the past 3 years .

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Some limited work experience is a plus.

Some onsite, and some remote work, and the possibly of some travel may also be required. But we will of course do our best to work around your current school schedule.

Education/Experience:

Must have successfully completed at least 72 credit hours of Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Computer Science related education.

Must be actively working toward completion of an Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Computer Science degree.
