RELIABLE female CNA/home health care aide needed in the 63rd and Portland neighborhood for weekday shifts (M-F, 9 to 5).
Quadriplegic woman with two cats needs fairly intensive personal care, assistance with media, pet care, and light housekeeping. You will accompany her to the doctor, dentist, etc., and share her daily activities (movies, TV, music, etc.). You also keep track of the supplies and groceries she needs to order, and do grocery shopping one day a week.
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS:
RELIABILITY is vital
Patience
Common sense
Punctuality
Good attitude
Strength: you need to be fairly strong (to move client around in her bed and use a lift to put her in her chair)
Self-motivation
Real experience in home health care
We prefer applicants should live in or near NW OKC so travel to work is not an issue, and you need a reliable vehicle. You should be in good health: because this is a private residence, we don’t have enough staff to cover frequent absences.
Reliability is a requirement: we need you to show up for the shift you’re hired for.
$15/hr to start; $16/hr when you’ve joined our agency. Raises after that based on merit. We will place you with the agency we use, Amedisys. The agency will pay part of your pay. We make up the difference, and pay any overtime or holiday time you may have. Also, you may be eligible for insurance through the agency, and raises through them as well.
