RELIABLE female CNA/home health care aide needed in the 63rd and Portland neighborhood for weekday shifts (M-F, 9 to 5, but we’re open to an 8-4 or 8:30-4:30 schedule, if necessary).
Quadriplegic woman with one cat needs fairly intensive personal care, assistance with media, pet care, and very light housekeeping. You will accompany her to the doctor, dentist, etc., and share her daily activities (movies, TV, music, etc.). You also keep track of the supplies and groceries she needs to order, and do grocery shopping one day a week.
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS:

Strength: you need to be fairly strong (to move client around in her bed and use a lift to put her in her chair)
Self-motivation
Real experience in home health care
We prefer applicants should live in or near NW OKC so travel to work is not an issue, and you need a reliable vehicle. You should be in good health: because this is a private residence, we don’t have enough staff to cover frequent absences.
Reliability is a requirement: we need you to show up for the shift you’re hired for. If you have young children who require you to miss work or any health issues that might prevent you from moving an adult around in bed, this is not the job for you.
$20/hr pay, and we need you to join our agency. Raises after that based on merit. We will place you with the agency we use, Elara Caring. This allows the state to pay part of your pay. We make up the difference, and pay any overtime or holiday time you may have. Also, you may be eligible for insurance through the agency, and raises through them as well.
