Full time Medical Assistance position open in NW OKC starting immediately.
7.45 am to 4.15 pm Monday to Friday.
Candidates must be willing to be cross-trained, have the ability to multi - task, prioritize and most importantly have good communication skills and be a good team player.
Reliability and Punctuality are a must.
Education: Vocational school MA certification or Community/Private college MA certification preferred.
JOB DUTIES - ADMINISTRATIVE :
Answering phones and scheduling appointments. / Greet patients, completion of registration forms, and give instructions.
Maintaining medical records in an electronic system. / Processing mail.
Calling prescriptions to the pharmacy for the physician. / Communication skills using appropriate medical terminology.
Following appropriate legal and ethical professional conduct.
CLINICAL
Measuring and recording vital signs. / Recording patient interview, history and chief complaint.
Providing patient education with regards to office policies, medications, management of diseased, home treatments and special diets.
Preparing patients for examinations and performing routine screening tests. / Assisting the physician with exams and minor office surgery.
Phlebotomy and collection of other lab specimens preferred but not mandatory. / Performing basic lab tests.
Performing EKGs. / Preparing and administering medications with physician's authorizations.
Change dressings, applying bandages, removing sutures and other first aid procedures.
Using CPR skills when required. / Maintaining supplies, equipment, stocking, and sterilizing instruments.
Disposing of biohazard waste according to OSHA standards. / Practicing OSHA safety standards.
Performing accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times.
Right candidate will be trained on site on all in-house systems and procedures.
