Dental Hygienist - Private Practice
About the Job:
Contemporary Family Dentistry is an established, state-of-the-art, private, general dentistry practice, and is currently seeking a full-time and a part time dental hygienist to join our dynamic team. Full-time employees are provided with a four-day workweek and part-time employees are given a two or three-day workweek.
Our team is busy and system-oriented. We prioritize the use of the latest technology in order to provide the highest quality of patient care. The practice is very team-driven with an emphasis on collaboration versus working solo. We offer a friendly, caring work atmosphere, achievable monthly bonuses, and competitive pay and benefits. We are currently using a Sirona Orthophos SL CBCT scan in the office. We also have CEREC technology.
As our perfect match you:
Have the ability to maintain a current license/certification as an RDH with anesthesia in Oklahoma.
Prioritize patient rapport and outstanding customer service.
Have experience taking and recording dental histories and patient records and documenting areas of failure, both periodontally and restoratively, to facilitate the dentist’s diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
Have a thorough understanding of how to remove hard and soft deposits from teeth, gently and efficiently, and examine oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease.
Can readily instruct and educate patients in oral hygiene, provide preventative dental care, take digital images and intra-oral photos, and apply fluoride/sealants.
Help maintain patient flow, keeping treatment rooms neat and organized.
Are willing to abide by the practice’s protocols for patient care, room set up, and equipment sterilization.
Are articulate and service-oriented.
Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Show strong respect for all of your coworkers and a willingness to help, regardless of position.
Are available to work 3-4 days a week, with one of those days being Friday.
Your history likely shows:
Current Oklahoma license.
Preferably one year of dental hygiene experience.
Certified in anesthesia.
Strong organizational and administrative skills – you see what needs to be done and do it.
Ability to multi-task, take initiative, and anticipate the needs of others.
Ability to project a positive, warm, and professional image in person and on the phone.
