Are you passionate about dogs and their behavior? TipTopK9 Dog Training OKC is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Dog Trainer / Kennel Technician to join our team! As a Dog Trainer at TipTopK9, you will be responsible for working closely with dogs of all breeds and temperaments, helping them develop positive behaviors while ensuring they receive top-notch care in our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Dog Training:
Work with dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds to address common behavioral problems such as barking, jumping, leash pulling, and aggression.
Train dogs in basic commands, socialization, and advanced obedience to ensure well-mannered and well-behaved pets.
Maintain progress reports for each dog, documenting their improvement and areas for further work.
Kennel Technician Duties:
Oversee the daily care of dogs in the kennel, including feeding, exercise, and general hygiene.
Ensure all dogs are safely housed in clean, comfortable, and secure environments.
Assist in the grooming, bathing, and basic medical care for dogs in the facility.
Monitor and evaluate the health and well-being of the dogs under your care, reporting any issues to the management team.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the TipTopK9 team to ensure a seamless experience for both the dogs and their owners.
Assist with other tasks as needed, including administrative duties, speaking with clients, and maintaining the cleanliness of the facility.

Expectations:
Previous experience in dog training or animal care is preferred, but not required (we offer on-the-job training).
Strong understanding of dog behavior and basic training techniques.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
Physically capable of handling active dogs and performing light cleaning duties.
