Machinery/tools used: Lathes, presses, band saws, chop saws, tape measure
Experience: 2-3 years related machining experience.
CNC lathes, manual lathes, hobbs, presses, bandsaws, and chop saws are routinely used. Must be able to use measuring instruments such as tape measures, ID micrometers, blade micrometers etc to assure proper parts are machined. Cutting down bar stock of monel and Inconel material, machining grooves and hobbing spline on them to make a finished shaft. Also cutting down pipes, boring and threading them to make finished housings.
