Job Summary:
The HVAC Journeyman Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential and commercial customers. The technician will diagnose system issues, perform preventive maintenance, ensure compliance with safety standards, and deliver high-quality workmanship and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.
Perform system diagnostics and ensure all installations meet manufacturer and local code requirements.
Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and tune-ups to optimize system performance.
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Collaborate with apprentices, contractors, and project managers to complete jobs efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and system performance results.
Follow all safety and environmental guidelines to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Provide exceptional customer service and communicate clearly with clients regarding system conditions and recommended repairs.
Qualifications:
Valid Journeyman HVAC License (state-specific).
Minimum 3–5 years of HVAC experience in installation, maintenance, or repair.
