GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Works under direct supervision of the Night Warehouse Supervisor to effectively and accurately move product in the warehouse, on and off trucks and keep warehouse in proper condition and appearance. Maintain proper warehouse operation to ensure inventory integrity and minimize damage product and promote safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES (this is not all-inclusive):

Loading:

Assist in ensuring that all delivery vehicles have been properly and accurately loaded for the next delivery day and all vehicles have been properly assigned.

Assist in ensuring that all outages are reported to the Whse Mgr and Delivery Mgr so that the handhelds can be adjusted properly to ensure an accurate inventory count.

Assist in pulling of orders when needed.

Warehouse:

Maintain/oversee the warehouse and grounds in a neat, clean and orderly manner.

Ensure that all products and packages are properly rotated to the requirements of our suppliers. (FIFO)

Ensure that all forklifts have been properly staged and plugged in for recharging.

Communicate/identify to the Warehouse Manager any inventory issues, close-to-date, damaged product or any other circumstances which might negatively impact the company.

Properly document any received or outgoing shipments.

Secure the entire warehouse at the end of each nights activities. Including activating security alarms, locking doors, etc¦

Supervisory:

Ensure all night personnel have been properly trained on job responsibilities, safety and security procedures.

Ensure that daily forklift inspections are performed and that documentations in maintained.

Act upon all complaints, disciplinary action or suggestions within 24 hours of notice.

Ensure professional safe conduct of all night employees.

Report all accidents or damage to the Night Warehouse Supervisor.

Successfully control product and/or property loss prevention.

Assist in preparation of performance yearly review of the night employees.

General:

Communicate and cooperate with all departments of the company to further efficiencies and ensure the smooth operation of the company as a whole.

Maintain a positive relationship with all customers, co-employees and management.

Maintain appropriate dress and personal appearance.

Know, understand and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Promote company goodwill in all areas, assist others and perform tasks as appropriate and/or necessary to help maintain the positive image of the Company in the market.

Complete all assigned training in a timely manner

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2-3 years warehouse experience; Supervisor experience preferred.
