GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Reports To:

The Graphic Designer reports directly to the Graphic Design Team Leader and works in conjunction with the Marketing, Sales, and Production Teams.

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Graphic Designer. The Graphic Designer will visualize and design materials to be printed, included but not limited to brochures, display pieces, signs, vehicle and wall wraps, and mailers. The Graphic Designer will create projects within the company and for print customers from vision to completion.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Visualize and design materials to be printed, such as brochures, display pieces, signs, vehicle and wall wraps, and mailers.

Perform varying duties based on the printed materials they create and the company they represent.

Collaborate with creative teams and company principals to create new material designs based on the messages and products the company wants to promote.

Design brand-new, original graphics and infographics.

Maintain brand consistency across all designs and stay on message to represent the company’s interests.

Proofread all materials to ensure they are letter-perfect and mistake-free.

Research market and design trends to create timely, trendy designs that look fresh and current.

Skills and Qualifications

Creative professional with a good sense of color and design who creates eye-catching, memorable materials to promote products and brands of all types.

Works on multiple projects and design elements at once, which requires excellent organizational skills.

Works against tight deadlines, requiring exceptional time management skills and the ability to produce quality material while under pressure.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with design and marketing teams, as well as team members across the organization.

Ability to interact confidently and thoughtfully with customers.

Ability to deliver simple, memorable messages through designs.

Use razor sharp attention to detail to integrate many different messages and elements into design pieces, especially concepts that can be quickly grasped with a single glance.

Excellent, up-to-the-minute computer skills to work with contemporary design software programs. Proficiency in the Adobe Software Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign) is a must.

Use problem-solving skills to overcome obstacles and find ways to make designs work with printed materials of all sizes and types.

Education and Training:

Bachelor’s degree in fine arts, graphic design, or a related field of study preferred.

Extensive work experience may be considered.

Experience in the Print Industry preferred, but not required.

Status:

Full-time position, benefits eligible.
