Job Title: Service Manager - Flooring Installation Company

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Service Manager to oversee the district operations of our flooring installation company. As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of Installers who are Independent Contractors. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the efficient execution of work orders and the smooth functioning of the district's installations.

Responsibilities:

Team Management: Supervise and provide leadership to a team of Independent Contractor personnel. Train and develop team members, set performance expectations, and ensure productivity targets are met.

Work Order Management: Oversee the coordination and execution of work orders for flooring installations. Ensure accurate measurement, estimation, and scheduling of installations. Monitor progress and address any issues or delays to ensure timely completion of installations and work orders.

Customer Service: Collaborate with the customer service team to address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints related to installations and materials. Provide timely and effective resolutions to ensure customer satisfaction.

Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure installations meet company standards and customer expectations. Conduct regular Job Site Visits and inspections to identify and rectify any issues or deficiencies in materials or installation process.

Performance Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the district, including installation efficiency, customer satisfaction, and team productivity. Analyze data, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize performance.

Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Stay updated with industry regulations and promote a safe working environment for all employees.

Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members, as well as with other departments of Midwest Flooring. Collaborate with management of Midwest Flooring to have your team participate in company promotions and processes as required.

Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular reports on district operations, including installation metrics, and customer feedback. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and files related to installations, work orders, and other operational aspects.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field experience preferred, but not required.

Experience in a managerial role, preferably in the flooring industry or related field.

Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Knowledge of flooring materials, installation processes, and industry best practices.

Proficiency in using technology, software, and systems relevant to the flooring industry.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal teams and customers.

Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

Understanding of safety regulations and practices in the construction or installation industry.

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the district or region as needed.
