Job Title: Assembler/PiperJob DescriptionAs a Piper, you will be responsible for mounting all major components, installing interconnecting piping, soldering, and pressure testing for commercial/industrial HVAC & refrigeration equipment. Your tasks will include maintaining a safe and clean working environment, comprehending and executing engineering drawings and instructions, operating various types of equipment, and ensuring quality and accuracy in all tasks. You will also be responsible for completing administrative paperwork and determining appropriate unit layouts based on engineering drawings and equipment functionality.Job Duties
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
Read and understand engineering drawings and instructions
Read and understand bills of material
Operate pipe cutters, threaders, torch, and all equipment required
Solder
Check work and ensure quality
Match equipment serial numbers to engineering drawing/bill of materials ensuring 100% accuracy
Sign off all administrative paperwork when job is completed
Locate all equipment, tools, and parts needed for job
Determine appropriate unit layout based on engineering drawing and equipment functionality
Maneuver in and around unit and sustain awkward positions in order to accurately place components on unit
Layout equipment so that all parts are easily serviceable
Additional Skills and Qualifications
Read tape measure down to 1/16th inch
Prior manufacturing or industrial experience
Positive attitude
Will have various job duties and not stuck to one task all day, must be flexible and good with cross training
Work EnvironmentThis role operates in an industrial production area for a manufacturer of refrigeration and HVAC equipment. The environment involves exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicles, with a high noise level in some areas. The position requires working in extreme temperatures during both winter and summer. The work schedule includes options for a 1st shift from Monday to Friday (6am-4:30pm) with overtime as required, or a weekend shift from Friday to Sunday (6am-6:30pm) with overtime.
