Our Animal Caregiver team at Animal Medical & Surgical Hospital provides care for pets staying in our facility one day or for an extended period of time. General duties include but are not limited to keeping cages clean and sanitized; walking, feeding and picking up after the animals, nail trimming, following proper disease control protocol to ensure a sterile environment and reporting on the animal's condition to the veterinarian. Keep Veterinary Nurse staff informed of animal behavior, health or concerns. Restraining animals as needed. Stock all kennel/cleaning supplies as needed. Stock areas and spot-clean kennels and public areas throughout the day. Clean surgical laundry. Clean, fold, and stock kennel laundry throughout the clinic. Must be able to learn basic veterinary medical concepts, including but not limited to vaccine protocols and anesthetic risks. Must also be able to communicate basic veterinary concepts to owners and be able to repeat information relayed by a veterinarian * Will be asked to communicate with the public on a daily basis in a professional and positive manner.

Able to work any shifts between 6 am - 10 pm with ability to work most weekends and holidays. Must be comfortable with all dog breeds, small and large! Don't mind constant loud barking and be able to work with cats.
