Green Country is seeking skilled Header Sub ARC/Lance/End Block Welders for both day and night shifts. The role involves positioning headers, operating welding machinery, setting specifications, and ensuring weld quality. Experience with overhead or jib cranes and the ability to interpret welding procedures are essential.
Schedule:
Day Shift: 1 Position
Night Shift: 4 Positions
Responsibilities:
Position headers using overhead or jib cranes; align electrodes over weld joints.
Load electrode wire and thread through welding machinery; set electrode angles.
Fill hoppers with specified flux; manage flux distribution over weld lines.
Adjust current, voltage, and synchronization settings for optimal welding.
Monitor gauges and welding actions to ensure compliance with procedures.
Inspect welds visually; perform grinding as necessary.
Operate pneumatic and electric grinders; utilize levels effectively.
Modify machine setups to adjust bead size, location, and penetration.
Preheat workpieces; remove excess slag, flux, and spatter.
Perform carbon arc gouging for repairs when needed.
Maintain production records as required by the Department Manager.
Ensure regular attendance, punctuality, and the ability to work on-site and overtime.
Collaborate respectfully with colleagues, customers, vendors, and management.
Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; adapt within the department.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must pass the American Society of Mechanical Engineers 1G SAW Plate Test.
Must pass a 10-panel drug screen (Safety Sensitive) and a national background check.
Ability to work cooperatively with others and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
Willingness to work on-site and overtime as needed.
