Job responsibilities: Acts as the on-site supervisor of all the construction trade programs and instructors. Coordinates with national training contractors. Administers construction trades' projects in compliance with government and management directives and federal, state, and local regulations.Essential functions:

Ensure all required budget and project progress reports are compiled and filed in accordance with Department of Labor requirements.

Create an annual project plan for eight trades, including materials lists, proposed budget, and building plans as needed.

Monitor and control budget and expenditures for construction trades' projects.

Hold regular meetings with instructors to coordinate ongoing projects, plan new projects, and review problems that affect the program. Inform the department manager of needed action.

Be available to assist instructors with motivating and redirecting students who are struggling to make progress.

Conduct quarterly classroom observations.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in vocational training or associated field and three years related technical experience preferred. Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.

One year recent supervisory experience required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency required. Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
