Structures MechanicLocation: Aurora, OregonJob Type: Contract (6 Months)About Us:Join our dedicated team specializing in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of heavy-lift helicopters. We pride ourselves ondelivering top-notch service for Boeing CH-47 airframes (Model 107, Model 234) used in firefighting and heavy-lift utility applications.Role Overview:As a Structures Mechanic, you will be an essential part of our maintenance team. Your expertise will ensure the safety and reliabilityof our fleet. This hands-on role involves working directly with helicopter structures to disassemble, repair, fabricate parts, reassemble, install, andmeticulously document maintenance actions.Key Responsibilities:

Disassembly & Reassembly: Carefully disassemble and reassemble helicopter components to ensure operational integrity.

Repair & Fabrication: Fabricate and repair parts as necessary, using a range of tools and techniques.

Documentation: Accurately document all maintenanceactions in compliance with industry standards.

Blueprint Reading: Interpret maintenance manuals and blueprints to guide assembly and repair processes.

Precision Work: Conduct frequent removal and installation of standard and blind rivets, with a focus on drilling, reaming, and riveting to close tolerances.

Required Skills:

Minimum of 4 years of experience in aircraft structures.

Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and machine tools for maintenance tasks.

Skilled in reading and interpreting maintenance manuals and blueprints.

Experienced in the removal and installation of standard and blind rivets.

Ability to perform drilling, reaming, and riveting to precise tolerances with attention to countersink depth.

Work Environment:

Fully on-site at our heavy-lift helicopter fleet MRO and rebuild hangars.

Initial work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30PM.

Transitioning to a 4-day workweek (6:00 AM - 4:30 PM), with options for Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday shifts.
