WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?We’re looking for a Lead Technical Developer with expertise in construction, fit standards, textiles, trims and graphics to be part of our creative team within Nike Apparel.The ideal candidate needs to be a highly creative problem solver, versatile and forward thinking. Portions of this role are dedicated to project and process work.A key part of this role is understanding the full scope of product creation from design concept to production, driving discussions to meet on-time delivery dates, leading the team with technical recommendations that serve our athletes and consumers and communicating issues or offering solutions in a fast-paced environment.Our ideal candidate is an active listener, able to communicate effectively in varied settings and able to influence the team when needed, while demonstrating credibility and reliability. We are looking for someone who is optimistic, self-aware, embraces change, holds their decisions and actions accountable, will actively seek feedback to grow and develop, values and respects the opinions of their teammates and embraces the diversity of people, ideas and cultures.You will be a technical resource and able to mentor other Technical Developers.You will work on sophisticated styles to create and update Tech Packs for our PCC (Product Creation Center) and factory partners including measurements, construction sketches and graphic placements. You will lead proto review sessions and write comments. You will supervise and request prototypes for your styles, manage and meet your calendar target dates, attend meetings that relate to your product’s development and communicate progress and challenges to your team as needed.WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?You will work within the Licensed Global Football Apparel team, managing your assigned styles collaboratively with your cross functional partners on creative solutions and execution whilst creating digital protos and tech packs for our factories. You will review protos and samples taking the styles through the creation process and ensuring to meet gates and dates to ensure on-time production capability.WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?You will report to the Licensed Global Football Manager.The Lead Technical Developer will collaborate with Design, Product Management, PCC, materials, quality, color and manufacturing to effectively complete product development & fit goal results.WHAT YOU WILL BRING?

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training

A minimum of 6 years directly relevant work experience.

Technical development/design experience in the apparel industry, which includes the apparel development process from inception through production including construction, materials, costing, print / graphics, manufacturing and quality.

Ability to write product specs and advanced construction instructions along with interpreting design intent and offering alternative solutions.

Ability to act as a technical resource, mentor others and lead initiatives through high energy and positive influence.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to excel in a deadline driven environment. Ability to manage multiple projects.

Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with attention to detail and process orientation.

Proficiency with MS Office programs and confident using Adobe Illustrator and CAD Pattern Design software. Experience with Optitex/Browzwear/CLO preferred.

Ability to travel 10% (domestic and international).

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
