RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Beaverton, OR that is seeking a SAP Basis Administrator.
Responsibilities:
In this role, the SAP Basis Administrator will install/upgrade/remove database software
Software patch application
Install/upgrade/remove information on servers
Database infrastructure software/tools management
Create/upgrade/remove database
Patch rollout execution
Execute database level parameter changes
Update/refresh statistics
Database environment support
Request to check privilege profiles from clients
The SAP Basis Administrator will execute deployments
Blocking lock detection and resolution
Initial troubleshooting and re-starting broken database jobs
Database migration execution
Starting and shutting down databases and/or database services
Database refreshes/database cloning
Database security/account/role/privilege management
Schema management and database monitoring
Oversee or execute OS system maintenance services (patch and backups)
Performance mgt and monitoring of all levels of the technology stack via various tool sets
As a SAP Basis Administrator, this role updates and maintains appropriate CMDB information
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Business, CS, or equivalent
6+ years of tech experience in specific applications or business exp that includes working closely with IT
Experience with: SAP Solution Manager, HANA, SAP Upgrades
Working knowledge of processes for continuous integration, code merging and branch management including revision control SW (examples: Jenkins, Bamboo, GIT, SVN)
Working knowledge of build process and automation and deploy processes and automation (Maven, GO, Ant, GIT)
Working knowledge of Software configuration management (Puppet/Chef)
Working knowledge of project automation tools (Gradle)
