SUN FOREST CONSTRUCTION, Central Oregon’s most longstanding and diversified custom home builder and remodeling company well known for its integrity, quality and service is currently hiring for a full-time Accounting Administrator.

Position Summary:

Provide accounting support and assistance to the organization and the CFO. Handles accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and job cost duties. Prepares client draw statements, and ensures files are completed and maintained as needed. Ensures that the company’s routine accounting functions run accurately and effectively.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED

Associates degree or college courses in accounting, finance, or mathematics recommended.

Organization skills, accuracy, and excellent math skills required.

Basic bookkeeping skills helpful, including payroll processing.

Experience in a position with similar duties and level of responsibility preferred.

Must be dependable and reliable with assigned work schedule.

Good driving record, Oregon driver’s license.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

Good verbal and written communication skills are required.

Basic office skills required (filing, typing, using office equipment, data entry).

Accuracy, strong attention to detail, and an aptitude for numbers is required.

High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism with work produced.

Excellent internal and external customer service skills required for written, telephone, and

face-to-face communication.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills to be able to deal efficiently & professionally with co-workers, clients, sub-contractors, vendors, and others involved with business operations.

Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a smooth workflow and an organized desk.

Proven accounting experience and familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.

Under general supervision, must be able to prioritize workload, and accomplish tasks in a timely manner, with the ability to solve problems quickly and appropriately.

Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.

Proficiency with 10-key, computers, and software systems.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of SAGE 300 CRE is preferred, but not required.

Must have high ethical standards and be able to uphold Sun Forest’s excellent reputation in the business community.

Must have the physical ability to meet the demands of the position, which include sitting, standing, lifting up to 10 pounds, and stooping. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Process daily accounting documents: invoices, transfers, scope changes, dynamics.

2. Enter client draw payments.

3. Reconcile bank statements.

4. Research, track, and resolve accounting problems or discrepancies.

5. File accounting documents weekly, maintain accurate and neat files.

6. Handle and resolve vendor or employee questions regarding invoices or payments.

7. Compile and organize Homeowner Warranty Books for Custom Home projects.

8. Enter subcontractor insurance information into system & track records for expired coverages.

9. Print vendor checks and mail out or prepare payments for pick up with appropriate check stuffers & collect sub-contractor lien waivers if needed.

10. Prepare monthly client draw statements.

11. Payroll and accounts payable processing including enter bi-weekly hourly timesheets into payroll system, print paychecks and make direct deposits.

12. General office duties such as filing, photo-copying documents, faxes & deliveries, data entry, pick up & process incoming office mail daily.

13. Back up for front reception when needed by answering phones and greeting customers.

14. Exhibits good judgment, high ethical standards, and competent decision-making skills at all times, and represents Sun Forest reputably with our clients, staff, suppliers, business associates, and in the community.
