The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Central Oregon is seeking a reliable and flexible individual to join our team on a Sunday and in an as-needed capacity. This position is great for someone 16 or older who is available to work monthly on third Sundays from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM and who is likely to be available to support on an on-call or fill-in basis other Sundays from 10:00 - 12:00 PM. Ideally, this individual would be able to occasionally provide childcare for congregational events on Friday evenings and Saturdays.
The role involves providing care for children between the ages of 1 and 9 in class or play-based settings. Tasks typically include reading stories, resolving conflict, helping with crafts, engaging in play, and cleaning up.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
Age 16+
Experience caring for groups of children (classroom management)
Ability to meet the needs of diverse learners
Consistently available to work on 3rd Sundays
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
