H.A. McCoy Engineering & Surveying in Redmond, Oregon is seeking a CAD/Drafter Technician. This is an excellent career opportunity for a responsible person with experience in civil engineering or land surveying drafting and design. AutoCAD Civil 3D knowledge and familiarity is important. AS degree in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent is helpful. We have an established portfolio of clients including landowners, real‐estate developers, contractors, government agencies, and architects.

Topographic Surveys, Existing Conditions Plans, ALTA Surveys
Legal Descriptions and Exhibits
Site plans
Conceptual Plans
Landscape Plans
Water Rights Maps
Job Functions & Responsibilities: Working with the Project Engineer or Surveyor, the following tasks will be assigned:
1. AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting including setting up sheets, importing points, line work/drafting, generating
contours and profiles, performing volume calculations, subdivision plat preparation, creating surfaces, etc.
2. Review development and building codes for compliance.
3. Survey/utility research.
4. Complete projects and assignments as requested.
Skills and Abilities:
1. Competent using CAD drafting program and Microsoft Office.
2. Ability to quickly learn procedures, processes, and systems.
3. Ability to stay on task, follow priorities and meet deadlines.
4. Communicate effectively with supervisors on deviations or potential issues that would not meet client’s expectations or jurisdiction’s regulations.
5. Takes responsibility for completing quality work within budgets and timelines.
Working Conditions:
1. Primarily office work with some field time as necessary.
2. Typical work hours are 40-45 hours/week.
3. Drive to and from worksites on occasion.
4. Maintain good communication with other coworkers and clients.
Compensation based on abilities & experience. Anticipated wage is between $22-$28/hr.
