Location: Redmond

Compensation: $21.43/hour (plus $0.50/hour for bilingual Spanish)

Hours: Regular full-time (40 hours/week)

Benefits: 100% premium paid Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance, Agency paid Retirement plan (up to 6%), almost 16 weeks of paid time total accrual during the first five years (increases after that), plus 10 paid Holidays annually and a separate sick leave accrual

Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities:

The Food Resource Specialist works with local grocery store staff, food drive donors, and growers to support the NeighborImpact Food Bank. This position facilitates individual, group and corporate involvement in the food bank warehouse and direct client service distributions. The specialist collaborates with the food program director in planning and implementing the strategy to develop these resources to raise funds and solicit local food donations. These duties require identifying, developing and maintaining relationships with numerous food program community partners. Additionally, this position coordinates multiple events as part of the fund-raising and food donation effort.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree required

Demonstrated experience with data collection and analysis, reporting and program evaluation

Demonstrated experience training and presenting to individuals and groups in a public speaking format

Demonstrated competency in written, verbal, and interpersonal communication

Demonstrated experience in high-level customer service and/or relationship building

Demonstrated strong organization skills

Experience in food handling is required

Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and standard office equipment

Experience working with and supervising volunteers of all ages from diverse socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds preferred

Safe driving record and ability to use personal vehicle for NeighborImpact business. (Mileage will be reimbursed for work travel.)

Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds.

Working knowledge of English grammar, spelling

Ability to receive forklift certification within 90 days of hire

Ability to obtain receive Food Handler’s Certification within 30 days of hire

Experience working with the media preferred

Experience in retail grocery industry preferred

Prior to date of hire and throughout employment:

o Valid driver’s license

o Proof of current auto insurance

o Access to reliable transportation required

o Satisfactory criminal background check required

o COVID-19 vaccine

Above certifications must be kept current to remain employed
