About Us

We’re a local, community-driven pub on the West side of Bend with a focus on providing a community gathering place to enjoy sports and local live music. Starting soon, we will be operating our own food cart at the pub with fun and innovative pub food options. We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary operations at this space.

Position Overview

As the Kitchen Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of food preparation, staff management, and daily operations for our new food cart operation. You’ll ensure that every dish meets our quality standards while maintaining a clean, efficient, and organized kitchen. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a creative, collaborative, and high-energy environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and lead kitchen staff; train, schedule, and motivate the team

Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality and consistency

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas

Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships

Control food costs, reduce waste, and track daily sales/expenses

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Collaborate with ownership on menu development and seasonal specials

Handle opening/closing procedures and ensure smooth daily operations

The position should be 40 to 50 hours a week. Schedule will depend on needed shift coverage and times where leadership is needed most based on the schedule listed below to start.

4pm-10pm Monday-Thursday

4pm-12pm Friday

9am-12pm Saturday

9am-10pm Sunday

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in a kitchen leadership or management role (food cart or small kitchen experience a plus)

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation practices

Ability to thrive in small but fast-paced environment

Passion for food, hospitality, and community

Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Valid Oregon Food Handler’s Card

OLCC Servers Permit is a plus
