Small, woman-owned business seeks a part-time personal, virtual assistant to support business activities. Tasks can range from setting up and serving as an exhibit Booth attendant at Central Oregon conferences or events, Internet research, looking up information and compiling a database using Google Sheets, making phone calls or sending out email messages, scheduling meetings, coordinating events, writing executive summaries and reports, and other administrative type tasks.
This is a contractor position, meaning you'd be an independent contractor not an employee, and you'd be responsible for paying your own state and federal taxes.
There may be occasional in person meetings and optional travel around Central Oregon; otherwise most work is conducted remotely from home and communication is via email, text, chat, and video calls.
Work can be seasonal and cyclical ranging from 10-15 hours per week during busy periods like summer and fall, and slower from 5 to 10 hours per week during the winter and early spring.
This would ideal for a stay-at-home parent with some flexibility to work while their kids are at school, and looking for a side gig; or a retiree / empty nester looking to make some pocket money while working for a good cause.
Experience working with people living with disability and Neurodiversity is especially helpful. Strong communication and writing skills are a must, as are a sense of urgency and being deadline-oriented.
Per hour wage starts at $15/hour with a $1/hour increase after three months, and then again after every six months worked.
