Laurel Ridge is a family owned and operated legacy Oregon vineyard and winery located in the heart of Willamette Valley wine country. This is for a part-time Sales and Hospitality Associate position at our tasting room in Bend, OR.
This position plays an integral role in achieving the overall goal of our hospitality program, which is to create lifelong relationships with our customers. The ideal candidate has prior high-end sales and hospitality training and experience. A passion for wine is a must, but pre-existing wine knowledge is not necessarily required for the right candidate.
Once training is complete, you will be expected to conduct seated wine tastings for visitors, bringing the wines to life through storytelling with the goal of fostering relationships, selling wine, and successfully joining new members into the wine club.

Daily responsibilities:
Opens and/or closes the tasting room, demonstrating consistent ownership over both the tasting room facility and guest experience.
Executes wine tastings and prepares and presents menu items according to the Laurel Ridge Brand Experience & Service Cycle.
Daily housekeeping – washing/buffing stemware, sweeping, keeping the bathroom clean, taking out trash and recycling, etc.
Restocks wine and merchandise including organizing, remerchandising, and assisting with inventory management.
Uses our Point of Sale system to conduct sales, wine club sign-ups, reservations, capture guest information etc.
Fields inbound calls and addresses calls appropriately by providing information, making reservations, and relaying communications to relevant team members.
Packs wine club fulfillments accurately, while maintaining an awareness of suggestive selling and opportunities for add-ons.
Assists in identifying and solving customer service issues.
Occasional responsibilities:
Participates in and or/conducts off-site events, as-needed (farmer’s markets, fundraisers, winemakers dinners, etc.).
Purchases supplies, when needed, which are eligible for reimbursement.
Receives deliveries of food and wine, assisting in unloading deliveries and accurately receiving new inventory.
Job Requirements:
Must either have or be willing to obtain your OLCC Alcohol Server's Permit
Must either have or be willing to obtain your Oregon Food Handlers card
Must be able to lift 40lbs, repeatedly
Must be able to climb up and down a ladder
Must be able to and stand on your feet for long periods of time and walk at least 10,000 steps per shift
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, push, and crouch on a daily basis
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Hours:
Regular part-time, 15-20 hours per-week on average
Compensation:
Hourly base DOE, plus tips, plus spiffs
Well-performing individuals earn $25-$30/hr in this position, with seasonal ebbs and flows
