SummaryUnder the limited supervision of the Clinic Supervisor, the Nurse Practitioner performs a variety of clinical and public health nursing responsibilities. The primary role is to provide services to clients. This includes oversight of the Reproductive Health Program, in-house pharmaceuticals, laboratory functions, and onsite pharmacy and dispensing practices. A person in this position is expected to work in a highly independent manner with utmost integrity and reliability to ensure quality of health care delivered is in accordance with federal, state and county policies and procedures. Demonstrate proper specimen handling, processing, testing, charting and disposal. Demonstrate proper use of lab equipment, testing mediums and processes. Demonstrate proper techniques and documentation for all procedures and dispensing medications. Create, implement, and maintain Clinic, Lab, and Pharmacy policies and procedures. Discuss, review and resolve complaints from clients, other agencies and the public. Assist in the preparation of State, Federal and County reports with Leadership as needed. Coordination and updating of Nursing standards of Practice. Develop and maintain effective, harmonious and reasonable work relationships with others. Maintain regular and predictable work attendance.
