Private family in NW Bend seeks a reliable, kind helper for a post-op spine patient at home. Ideal for a CNA, rehab tech, or nursing student who’s comfortable with Foley catheter care and wants steady hours under clear clinical direction from a physician and retired nurse.
About the role
Hours: 4–6 hours/day (mornings preferred), 5 days/week to start
Pay/Perks: $32–$40/hour DOE, weekly pay
Location: NW Bend (97701) – private residence
What you’ll do (hands-on, non-invasive)
Safe mobility and transfers (bed↔chair, walker), gait belt use, fall prevention
Cue/supervise simple home PT exercises (we’ll show you exactly what to do)
Personal care and hygiene (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
Foley catheter care: swap leg bag↔night bag; empty/measure I&O; maintain closed system; proper securement/positioning; tubing below bladder; monitor for kinks/leaks/UTI signs; escalate concerns promptly
Light meal prep, hydration reminders, light housekeeping/laundry, tidying
Optional: short errands/appointments (mileage reimbursed)
Important scope note
No catheter insertions/removals/irrigations expected in this role. If you are an RN able to perform replacements per protocol, note your separate RN visit rate (optional).
You are
CNA, rehab aide, or nursing/OT/PT student (or 1+ year hands-on caregiving)
Confident with Foley bag care and infection-control basics
Calm, punctual, good communicator; can safely assist with 40–50 lb transfer support
Able to provide 2 references; OK with background check; valid driver’s license/insurance
