Compensation: 55-65 DOE
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, sealants, and fluoride treatments.
Conduct oral health assessments and take X-rays as needed.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
Collaborate with dentists to develop and implement patient treatment plans.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols and sterilization of dental instruments.
Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
Monitor supply levels & contribute to restocking hygiene rooms
Stay updated on the latest dental practices and technologies through continuing education
Skills
Experience an empathetic and compassionate hygienist
knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA/OHSA)
Critical thinking
Outstanding communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Knowledge of dental conditions
Ability to observe both auditory and visually
Good time management/organizational skills
Valid Oregon hygiene license; nitrous oxide license a plus
Proficiency in commonly used dental software; Dentrix and Weave a plus
