Water Works Spas in Sunriver, OR is a family owned and operated business since 1984. We are looking for an immediate hire to maintain a route of hot tubs in the Sunriver area. I have worked here on and off since i was a teenager (i'm 44) and i can tell you that this is one of the most laid-back, friendly, least stressful jobs in Central Oregon. Applicant will drive a company vehicle while working and will get a list of spas to service in the morningand then mark them off and trade vehicles in the afternoon. There are no micro-managers, no mini-bosses, and nobody constantly looking over your shoulder. While there are higher-paying jobs out there, there are no jobs more stress-free. Clock in at 9am, clock out when finished. If you want more hours, there are always things that could be done and we're happy to make sure you get your 8 hours. You set your lunch break time and how short your work day ultimately is. We are less interested in cracking-the-whip and more interested in quality service from an employee. This being said, there are some things we are looking for:
1. Applicant must have a clean driving record to be covered by our insurance in our vehicles. (no SR-22, no suspended licenses, etc.)
2. Applicant must be self-motivated and able to complete their daily lists without a ton of oversight. You are mostly on your own throughout the day, but we do have quality control and can tell pretty easily if someone takes pride in their work or if they are cutting corners. Checking and maintaining hot tubs is not hard labor, but it does require someone who is willing to do a good job for the 10-20min they are at each hot tub.
3. Applicant must be willing to be presentable (no tank tops or lewd t-shirts, stuff like that). We don't require you to be formally dressed, but you will be visiting high-end homes in resort areas and it's important that you are willing to be clean, courteous, respectful, and thorough.
4. Applicant must be able to easily lift and hold/carry at least 20lbs consistently, and willing to assist in hot tub deliveries and other physical tasks. This job requires a lot of walking with your bucket, getting in/out of your vehicle 20 + times a day, etc so it is important that applicants are physically able to do these minimum tasks. We don't need you to be Hercules, but we do need you to be able to perform your duties easily and without injury.
If hired, you will be fully trained over the course of a week (or two, depending) by riding along with another employee and learning first hand how things work. FULL WAGES FOR TRAINING. After training, you're off on your own. Of course we need to be able to reach you at any time during your day, but if you don't have a good working phone we can provide you with one. You will drive a company rig while on the job. Work is all in the Sunriver/Lapine areaif commuting from Bend is an issue, we will work with you to help with the costs.
