Seeking help on mini-farm in exchange for housing in your own nicely appointed 28 ft trailer, utilities and wifi included.
Tasks include animal care, irrigation set-up and maintenance, snow shoveling, garden help, general schlepping and repairs. Usual schedule is 3 morning shifts per week (some flexibility on which days) and miscellaneous other times (such as shoveling snow) when needed, for an average of 12 daytime hours per week (more in spring & fall, less in summer and winter) and occasional farm sitting so owner can take a few days off.
Preferred candidate is physically fit (can safely lift a bale of hay) and healthy lifestyle (no smoking, drugging, minimum or no drinking), mentally/emotionally stable, with reliable vehicle and a clean background check. Would welcome a student, retiree, part-time employed, or new-in-town. Skill with tools and experience with gardening and/or livestock a plus, but most important qualifications are reliability and good communication.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are employed elsewhere your schedule must allow for some weekday hours to work here. Evenings and weekends are not the times I need help the most.
