We are looking for a passionate and professional individual to fill the role of Laboratory Technician. Individual will perform a variety of Laboratory/production tasks, must be able to multi-task, work quickly and efficiently, and be adaptable to priorities changing. We have a very fast- paced environment as we continue to grow and expand. Must be motivated, trustworthy, and a team player.

Extraction Technician Job Responsibilities

Carry out laboratory production; prepare raw material; enter and track material quantities in CTS system; create batch records a given process; troubleshooting and resolving problems; maintaining logs and record books; maintaining glassware; daily lab cleanup.

Laboratory Technician Job Duties

Ensure proper and safe assembly/operation of extraction equipment in accordance with CHC Laboratories SOPs.

Inspect and examine machine/components for any signs of excess wear, replacing damaged or worn components as needed.

Fill solvent tanks with hydrocarbon blend as specified by shift lead or chief technology officer.

Knowledge and ability to use standard lab equipment; vacuum oven, hotplate, extractor, etc.

Ability to research, evaluate and adapt to new methods, compliance updates and techniques for operational improvement.

Resolve problems by examining and evaluating data; selecting corrective steps and recording and communicating action.

Participate in writing of SOPs for new process and equipment as well as editing of SOPs when processes change.

Prepare plant material to be loaded for extraction (ie bucking, grinding, packing socks etc.).

Cleaning and maintaining the extraction equipment and work space using required documentation and protocols provided by CHC Laboratories.

Report any equipment damages, malfunctions, or product discrepancies to team lead or manager.

Washing and sterilizing all laboratory equipment including glassware.

Storing supplies and equipment per guidelines.

Awareness of all material safety data sheets.

Dispose of biowaste in accordance with state guidelines and CHC Laboratories SOP.

Accurately enter data into inventory management system and other computerized databases.

Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, database management, METRC, spreadsheet applications and electronic mail.

Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.

Enhance laboratory and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Work towards meeting department goals around efficiencies, yields, and cost.

Laboratory Technician Skills and Qualifications:

In order to be eligible for this position, you MUST be able to get your OLCC Marijuana Handlers Card and pass a criminal background check
