Graphic Artist / Pre-Press / Digital Press OperatorThis is a full-time position, and is primarily pre-press vs design.THIS IS NOT A WORK REMOTELY POSITION. EMPLOYEES ARE REQUIRED TO WORK IN OUR FACILITY IN REDMOND, OREGON.You are a graphic artist who is:Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite 6 & Proficient in Illustrator and PhotoshopExperienced with Vector GraphicsFamiliar with Print Standards (resolution, general file setup)Work Experience in Design with the ability to Multi-TaskA Team PlayerOrganized and Detail Oriented with a desire to growOur ideal candidate has an aptitude for visual color and print production along with strong attention to detail. Candidates should have a high school diploma and digital printing experience is a plus.You will learn:· Wasatch Software interface between Adobe Illustrator files and Epson SurePress Digital Press and/or Durst hybrid press· Esko plate making system· How to operate Epson SurePress Digital Pressand/or Durst hybrid press with production teamEssential functions of the job:Print design– Ability to make creative label layouts, process files and send them to a digital pressColor management– Be well-versed in color and processing for print graphicsComputer skills– Be well-versed in various computer programs focused on digital printing.Physical fitness– Ability to routinely lift 25 pounds or more and must occasionally move up to 70 pounds or moreTroubleshooting– Ability to fix equipment or troubleshoot print jobs when malfunction occursResponsibilities include:Performing daily equipment maintenance.Performing job setup and adjustments.Place and manage service calls with vendors.Monitoring printing process to maintain print quality.Physical ability to stand on feet all day and handle heavy paperQuality assurance.Communicating with CSR’s and finishing departmentWe are an established pressure sensitive label printer with a 50-year history of quality products and services.
