Location: Bend
Compensation: $20.67/hour (plus $0.50/hour for bilingual Spanish)
Hours: Part-time 20 hours/week or Full-time 40 hours/week. Weekend work required.

Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The Shelter Support role will assist in carrying out day-to-day shelter operations and providing back up staffing when needed. This position is responsible for daily cleaning of facilities and guest rooms as assigned. The Shelter Support works with program guests in a compassionate and professional manner to include supportive interaction with guests, volunteers, partner agencies and team members, and performs all work duties as required. The weekly schedule for this position will include weekends. This is an onsite, in-person position.
Requirements
Passion for helping others and a desire to work in an organization that serves people who are experiencing poverty and houselessness required
Frequent kneeling, stooping, bending, lifting, reaching will be required. This position is rated as active and occasionally requires the individual to lift 50 pounds
Weekend work required
Experience working in a shelter or houseless community preferred
One year of experience in cleaning, janitorial, or customer service preferred
English/Spanish bilingual preferred
General knowledge of substance abuse and mental illness, and Trauma Informed Care preferred
Required prior to date of hire and throughout employment: ↓

Proof of current auto insurance
Access to reliable transportation required
Satisfactory criminal background check required
