Central Oregon Truck Company is looking for an assistant for the Safety Department. The safety assistant is responsible for supporting the safety department and act as a link between the driver coaches and driving team. This is an in office position only. Remote work is not available.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Field incoming calls for the driver coaches
- Audit and enter daily compliance reports
- Pull necessary reports and push all information to the driver coaches for follow-up and training
- Handle fuel and routing issues
- Enter citations and inspections into the appropriate software
- Manage the EFS fuel card program
- Manage all truck and trailer licensing and permitting
- Manage permit books for all company trucks
- Assist the driver coaches as needed with specific projects and orientation
- Assist the claim manager as needed with truck and trailer claims and accidents
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 2 years office experience
- Experience working with Outlook, Excel and Word
- Must be able to adapt and perform well in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Able to work independently, as well as part of a team and follow directions well with a high level of accuracy and dedication
