Farm Markets Manager

We are looking for someone to manage our Farm Store and Farmers Market booths. This person needs to be passionate about cooking with Rainshadow ingredients and guiding our CSA members and store/market patrons through their full-diet journey. This person needs to be flexible, keep an eye towards education and mentoring at all times, and willing to work within the confines and freedoms of a full-diet farm. This person needs to love our customers and the Farm.

We are looking for someone:

With exceptional customer service skills and a pleasant demeanor

Dependable, punctual, and possessing a strong work ethic

Basic math proficiency for handling transactions

Physical strength and stamina for lifting and moving heavy items (50 lbs)

Availability to work weekends and holidays

Someone who keeps an eye on the big picture

Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment

Must be able to drive a truck and trailer

Responsibilities:

This person will be managing our Farmers Market booths two days a week and managing our on-site Farm Store 3 days a week.

You need to be familiar with Point of sale interfaces. We use square.

You will be preparing Farm products for sale. This includes:

Bottling honey, making and bottling lard and broth

Making baked goods for sale in the store

Assisting in preservation

You will be charged with maintaining the cleanliness of the building including:

Maintaining freezers: organized, clean, defrosted, and full

Keeping store organized and shelves clean and dusted.

Annual building maintenance and cleaning

You are responsible for curating the farm store which includes:

Keep the shelves stocked, vegetables fresh, signs current, and store looking good

Finding, ordering and displaying non farm products

Recruiting and managing farmers market and store employees and volunteers

This role requires the ability to develop effective marketing campaigns to drive customer engagement and retention

Compensation Package

Full Diet CSA

$17/hour

Year round seasonal position

Full Time: May through November

35-50 hours per week

Work days are Wednesday-Sunday; expected days off are Monday & Tuesday

Part Time: December-April

20 hours per week

Work days are Friday and Saturday; expected days off are Sunday-Thursday

You will accrue 1 hour of PTO for every 30 hours worked to utilize for medical, mental health, and/or any personal needs.
