We are a local, family-owned automotive repair shop looking to hire a full-time service writer for our rapidly expanding shop. The preferred candidate will have prior experience in the automotive repair field, but we are willing to train the right person. You must be reliable, willing to work hard, and most importantly, be honest. We have worked extremely hard to have an amazing reputation for integrity and quality work. Starting hourly pay rate starts at $20 per hour and is based on experience. We also offer monthly profit sharing, sick leave, and paid time off.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers and serve as the primary point of contact
Create invoices and estimates by assessing supplies, materials, and labor
Explain why repairs are needed
Answer incoming phone calls
Call customers with updates on their vehicles
Respond to voicemails and text messages in a timely manner
Schedule service appointments from incoming phone calls and social media messages
Provide excellent customer service from intake to release of vehicle
Communicate with parts suppliers and technicians to make sure everything needed is on hand
Answer customer questions in detail about services performed and price information
Keep track of inventory and order supplies as needed
Collect payments and apply the payment to the customer’s account
Assist mechanics as needed
