Experienced Mechanic
Central Oregon Truck Company, a nationwide leader in the flatbed trucking and logistics industry, is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team.
This is a fast-paced position offering great potential for a committed individual with a competitive drive and passion to succeed. Responsibilities include repair, service and preventative maintenance of a fleet of semi-trucks and trailers.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid driver's license
- Sound mechanical aptitude
- Working knowledge and awareness of mechanic practices
- Able to work with a strong sense of urgency
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptional problem solving skills
- Owning a set of tools and toolbox is required
- Good comprehension of the English language to understand and/or deliver verbal and written instructions.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Electronic controlled engine diagnostics and systems repair within the engine bay
- Transmission and drivetrain diagnostic and repair, including clutch and wheel end maintenance
- Mobile communication (truck level) understanding or willingness to learn
- Must be proficient in electrical systems, air, and air brake systems
- A/C experience and certification
- Ability to perform engine work diagnostics
HOURS AND PAY:
- 40 hours per week, to include weekends and overtime when necessary
- Competitive base pay depending on experience and qualifications
