Foreman requirements
-Responsible for your own safety and the safety of others working around you. As a foreman you will be expected to set an example of how to work safely in the field and respectfully correct any safety issues you see on site.
-Participate in job site safety meetings and discussions
Safely operate construction tools and equipment, inspect prior to use
-Accurately measure and perform layout according to plans/specs
-Frame using wood and/or metal studs
-Perform interior finish carpentry
-Perform general clean-up and material handling
-Install doors, hardware, windows, siding, cabinets, fixtures, and millwork
-Monitor schedules, respectfully communicate with trades and 97 Builders employees in order to keep them to agreed upon timelines
-Monitor and control quality of work, throughout any project.
Education & Skills
-Self-starter and motivated by deadlines
-Ability to follow OR-OSHA and company safety practices
-Intermediate knowledge of commercial construction processes and techniques
-Ability to read and interpret building plans/drawings/specifications
-Detail-oriented with an analytical approach to solving problems
-Advanced experience using construction hand and power tools
-Take a collaborative and proactive approach to solving problems
-Takes personal responsibility for issues that arise
-Attention to quality with ability to put accurate work product in place
-Ability to put work product in place in a timely manner
-Ability to solve math equations
-Bilingual is a plus
-Commercial construction safety knowledge / training
-5+ Years of carpentry experience
-High School Diploma or GED preferred
