Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced asphalt shingle roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1+ years of hands-on experience in asphalt shingle roofing, be a hardworking individual, a team player, and motivated to excel in their craft. Our roof installers just install shingles and roofing and we have a separate tear-off team that removes old roofs and installs underlayment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team, contribute to challenging projects, and grow within the company.
Responsibilities:
1. Install and repair comp roofing systems, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards.
2. Collaborate with the roofing team to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines.
3. Measure and cut metal flashings and comp shingle to fit specific roofing structures accurately.
4. Inspect and troubleshoot roofing issues, providing effective solutions.
5. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
6. Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working environment.
7. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
8. Uphold the company's commitment to quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 1 year of experience in roofing.
2. Strong knowledge of roofing materials, installation techniques, and industry best practices.
3. Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with diverse personalities.
4. Motivated, hardworking, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
5. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
6. Physical ability to perform the demands of the job, including lifting up to 100 lbs, climbing, ladder work, machinery work, and working at heights.
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $35 to $42 per square of roofing installed, depending on experience and skills. We increase pay by $5 per square starting at 7:12 slope. For example, you can make up to $73 per square on a 12:12 roof pitch. We also pay per Linear Foot of ridge, hip, valley, roof-to-wall, etc. Scott's Roofing is committed to providing competitive compensation and opportunities for professional growth. 3. Paid Time Off: accrues at 40 hours per year after 90 days and after the first year 40 hours per employee is given on the first day of the year. 80 hours per employee after 2 years at the company.
4. Paid Holidays: Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Years Day, Veteran’s Day for those that have served our country.
