Minimum Qualifications:
1. 18 years of age or older (Provide a copy of your current State ID or Birth Certificate)
2. Must be a high school graduate or have a GED
(Provide a copy of your High School transcripts or GED)
3. Must have completed one year of high school algebra, integrated math 2, or equivalent post-high school algebra course(s) with a grade of C or better, or submit equivalent math placement test scores,
A GED math score, obtained during or after 2014, of 150, is considered an equivalent.

SHEET METAL WORKER (Job Description):
Sheet Metal workers fabricate and install fittings and duct work used in the construction or industry for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems in residential, commercial and industrial applications. They set up and operate shears, press brakes, bending rolls, welding machines and other equipment to cut, form and attach metal together for applications such as metal roofing and stainless-steel work for restaurants, kitchens and hospitals. They prepare shop and field drawings manually and with computer programs.
Wage Schedule: The average wage for those journeymen employed by the participating employers in the occupation on January 1, 2025 $37.61 per hour. Minimum starting wage would be $22.96 per hour.
The progressive wage rate to be paid to the apprentice is a minimum of the percentages below:
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE PAY RAISES EVERY 6 MONTHS WITH EVERY 1000 OJT HOURS
1st 1000 hour period 65% of average wage $24.44 is the minimum starting wage of an apprentice
2nd 1000 hour period 68% of average wage
3rd 1000 hour period 72% of average wage
4th 1000 hour period 75% of average wage
5th 1000 hour period 78% of average wage
6th 1000 hour period 81% of average wage
7th 1000 hour period 85% of average wage
8th 1000 hour period 90% of average wage
