Job Summary:
The auto technician is responsible for performing vehicle diagnostic, repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with factory standards.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform work as listed on repair order with accuracy and efficiency
Communicate with service advisor to obtain parts needed
Perform other responsibilities as requested
Properly document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order
Adhere to all company policies and procedures and safety standards
Maintain a neat and clean work area and account for all shop-owned tools at all times
Road-test vehicles to check work performed
Thoroughly examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
Diagnose cause of reported malfunction and perform authorized repairs
Required Experience:
Experience as a service technician
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
A valid state-issued driver's license, good driving record, and able to drive manual transmission vehicles
Maintain a professional appearance
